Not Just About Marks

Going to school isn’t just about academics. Of course, we strive to do our best in subjects such as mathematics, science, and Japanese. But there are also many other skills that we develop in other subjects.

Let’s take a look at what some of the second-year students were up to. In Home Economics, students learn basic skills such as cooking and sewing to help them take care of things at home. Today, they worked on a life-planning activity, mapping out major life milestones such as university, marriage, and buying a house. In English TT with Mr. Robison, students focus on output by communicating in English with their classmates. Without a doubt, there will be opportunities in life to speak with others in English—one of them being the school trip next March.

P.E. classes give students a chance to move their bodies and grow physically stronger. The classes held outside today practiced the Tokai University warm-up routine, while the sports class had a judo lesson with Mr. Okumura.
