First day for 3rd Year Students

Today, 3^rd year students came to school for the first time for the 2020 academic year.

訳　本日、高校３年生が2020年度最初の登校日を迎えました。

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, students were given their new class information before entering the school building.

訳　新型コロナウィルスの影響で、生徒は生徒玄関前で３年生の新クラスの発表を見ました。

To follow the social distancing requests given by the government, each class was split in half and students sat further away from each other. Homeroom teachers then gave important announcements and hand-outs to students.

訳　政府からの要請でソーシャルディスタンスを確保するため、各クラスは半分に分けられ、お互いに離れて座っていました。その後、担任教員が今後の予定などの重要事項の説明やプリントの配布を行いました。

Students then went to pick up their textbooks for the new academic year.

訳　その後、生徒たちは新学年の教科書を受け取りに行きました。

Even though we are going through difficult times, there was an atmosphere of excitement among the students, most likely because they had been lacking face to face interaction with each other.

訳　困難な時期を過ごしていますが、クラスメイトと直接会って話すことがなかったため、今日はとてもいきいきしているように見えました。

The teaching staff would like to encourage students, as we head into this period of studying at home, to use their time effectively to study and stay active, and most importantly take care of their health.

訳　学校としては、在宅学習に向かうにあたって、学習や在宅での活動に効果的に時間を使うこととそれぞれの健康に留意することがより重要であると考えています。
